I want to know whats best to plant in the spring.  This spring I'm going to plant corn and probably some peas.  I want to make the bucks racks so big you cant fit your hand around them this fall.

What do you think about soybeans, I think we should look into planting those in a food plot as well.

Man, i think soybeans would be great.  I might go with half corn and half soybeans.  I know soybeans have alot of protein that the deer need to grow some big racks.

Yeah. I think I'm going with all peas next year. Plant them in April. Good protein.

I remember we used to do pretty good with peas. Purple Hull and the Lablab.

The feed store in Millington has a deer mix for food plot planting.  I have not used it before but i do know they used to run out of it pretty quickly.  Stockdales has a good variety of seeds for deer food plots also.  Count me in for the spring planting.
